5 Must-Visit Coffee Spots for Work or Study

Need to squeeze in a bit of work or study on vacation? Frisco isn’t short of unique coffee shops that double as great workspaces. Connect to the Wi-Fi, fuel up on caffeine, and conquer that to-do list at one of these fun spots.
If You're Craving A Buzzy Vibe
Founded by a close-knit group of family and friends in the Texas Hill Country, Summer Moon has become a beloved Texas brand with two vibrant locations in Frisco. The original shop is nestled in the Rail District, while the new spot off Legacy and 121 opened late 2023, featuring a cozy upstairs loft and fireplace. Known for its lively atmosphere, Summer Moon is the perfect place for those who love the hum of a bustling coffee shop.
Their unique oak-roasted coffee is crafted over an open flame built with Texas post oak. My personal fave is the Half Moon Latte with their proprietary Moon Milk, a secret blend of 7 creamy ingredients available in both dairy and dairy-free options. You can customize the sweetness level of every drink for a personalized experience.
When the weather’s nice, I like working on the Main Street location's patio, soaking in the historic Frisco Rail District's buzz. It’s a popular weekend hangout spot for locals and visitors alike!
Order Tip: Grab their outta-this-world breakfast tacos, a collaboration with Mariana's Taco Shop just across the street. Show up early enough while the tacos are still available!

For A Spot That Has It All
Located in the lively Star District, Ascension Coffee is the perfect spot for craft coffee, wine, mimosas, and delicious food. The bustling environment is great for socializing or meeting up with colleagues.
The space is designed with a mix of high-top tables, individual booths, and group booths, providing ample room to spread out and work. Ascension is also a popular spot for weekend brunch, offering drinks like Aperol Spritzes, Bloody Marys, Espresso Martinis, and Palomas. It’s the ideal place to unwind with friends or tackle a work assignment with a boozy beverage in hand (I won’t tell your boss).
The large “farm to cup” glowing neon sign on the wall highlights Ascension’s commitment to sourcing a wide blend of coffees from around the world. They focus on supporting women farmers and responsibly source their beans, which are then roasted and tasted by their in-house Q Arabica grader in Dallas.
Order Tip: If you're stopping by for breakfast, don’t sleep on the Bacon + Egg Protein Brekky. For a bold start to your day, try their Doki Doki, a Kyoto-style cold brew named after the Japanese word for “beating heart.” This intense drink, dating back to the 1600s, is perfect for powering through any early morning.

Unique Atmosphere and Drinks? Check!
Opened in August 2023, this woman-owned gem offers a bright, airy space with an olive tree taking center stage.
Not only does Coffee U serve excellent coffee and lattes, but also iced teas, matchas, and smoothies. Their unique drinks are a must-try—my favorite is the Iced Blueberry Latte, but the Tiramisu Latte is also a hit. Of course, they have classic options as well, alongside fresh sandwiches and pastries.
This eclectic spot is great for both studying or meeting up during the lunch rush. They serve Stumptown coffee, too!
Order Tip: Try the Einspanner or Matcha Einspanner, a double shot of espresso or matcha topped with cold cream and chocolate or matcha powder, served in one of their adorable smiley-faced cups.

Cozy Coffee Goals
Right off Parkwood and not far from the Dallas North Tollway, this bookstore-cafe combo is your haven for productivity.
Get some work done beside the library-like bookshelves and a warm fireplace that makes you feel right at home. The dark, moody ambiance and great Wi-Fi make this Frisco spot ideal for studying, working, or curling up with a good book.
The Book Shoppe and Coffee&rsquo s mission of &ldquo nourishing community&rdquo is evident in every detail, from intricate latte art to gifts like candles, cards, journals, and ceramic mugs (they even have a chess board guests can play on!). When the Texas sunshine calls, grab a seat on their outdoor patio.
Order Tip: Pair their beautifully crafted Honey Lavender Latte with a cinnamon scone.

For Peace And Quiet
White Rhino Coffee is the destination for both relaxation and community. Poised in a chill, library-esque atmosphere, this spot is super clean and quiet—ideal for focusing. The cozy fireplace and comfy seating options, from plush couches to high tops and camel-colored chairs, create the perfect working environment. There’s even a long table at the back for group meetings or study sessions.
The super friendly staff add to the inviting vibe, ensuring you feel right at home in Frisco. For those on the go, pop through their convenient drive-through. Whether you’re settling in for some work, a casual meetup, or a quick coffee run, you can’t miss White Rhino.
P.S. First responders drink for free!
Order Tip: The Cold War Latte, hands-down. It’s a double-shot of espresso, vanilla and raw sugar, combined with half-and-half or your choice of dairy-free milk. They also have avocado toast and yummy breakfast sandwiches.
