The brand-new Omni PGA Frisco Resort opened its doors in May 2023. Neighbors to the PGA of America headquarters, this 660-acre resort includes incredible stays, dining, shopping, meeting spaces, events, and, of course, golf.
Whether you’re visiting for a few days or taking a staycation, be sure to maximize your time at the complex by checking out the not-to-miss experiences below.
New Modern Home of Golf
Just steps away from the PGA of America headquarters, Omni PGA Frisco Resort is the new home of modern golf. From greens to screens, the resort is full of golf for all ages and skills levels.
One of the most anticipated features at the resort are the two 18-hole championship golf courses. Fields Ranch East was designed by Gil Hanse, and Field Ranch West was designed by Beau Welling. Fields Ranch East will host a number of prestigious events, including the PGA Championship, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, and the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. Both courses are open to resort guests and the public.
For a shorter game, The Swing is a lighted 10-hole, par-3 course with holes ranging from 45 to 103 yards. Or perfect your putt on The Dance Floor, a 2-acre putting course, one of the largest natural-grass putting courses in the country.
For a different kind of golf, check out Ice House, which offers six live hitting bays and great views of PGA of America, or Lounge by Topgolf with Topgolf Swing Suite technology and a variety of virtual games.
Eats & Drinks
Playing 18 holes will work up an appetite. With 13 unique dining options on property, you won’t go hungry at Omni PGA Frisco Resort.
While The Apron is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it’s an exceptional spot to start the day. The breakfast tacos with burnt ends brisket are a great Texas staple, or for something lighter, there’s the avocado toast or acai bowl. A beautiful spot for views is the Lookout Lounge & Bar offering spectacular, panoramic views of the championship golf courses. This menu features small plates, tapas, and bar bites with some fun cocktails.
You can’t miss dinner at Trick Rider. Paying homage to the famed rodeo stars and Texas culture, Trick Rider is authentic rodeo culture meets upscale dining. When you walk in, say “hi” to Cinnamon, the horse-shaped, hand-cut crystal chandelier. The menu ranges from mouthwatering signature steaks, seafood, and shellfish dishes. But, save room for the Holy Sundae, vanilla and chocolate ice cream, brownie bourbon sauce, chocolate “pop rocks”, and you can eat the chocolate bowl it comes in. Pro tip: share this dessert with the table. It’s huge!
Monument Realty Entertainment District
From sun-up to sundown fun and enjoyment opportunities abound at the Monument Realty PGA District, where a variety of signature dining and retail concepts, virtual game experiences, and programmed entertainment are available.
Ice House is a modern ranch-style beer garden serving up Texas-sized portions of barbecue. Lounge by Topgolf offers craft cocktails and locally curated dishes with Topgolf Swing Suite technology. And for dessert, grab some gourmet ice cream at Margaret’s Cones & Cups.
If you’re looking for a keepsake, stop by the PGA Shop to get merchandise from the Ryder Cup, PGA Championship, and PGA of Frisco. Blue Lacy Mercantile offers a true Texas feel with one-of-a-kind women’s cowboy boots, hats, and luxury leather goods. For the kid in all of us, Gimme Toys promotes learning and interactive play for children of all ages, and a portion of all sales benefit The First Tee of Greater Dallas.
From wine walks to summer movie nights and tequila and tacos nights, there’s always something going on at the district. Events are open to resort guests and the general public. Check out the events calendar so you don’t miss a thing.
Take a Dip
With four outdoor pools, when you’re visiting Omni PGA Frisco Resort, don’t forget to pack your swimsuit.
For adults, grab a cocktail from Bluestem Bar, a pool lounge chair, and take in the panoramic views of the Fields Ranch fairways in the resort’s infinity pool. Or, enjoy two heated leisure pools with cabanas reservations available. These are perfect for families or groups. There’s even a covered splash pad tailored for toddlers and small children. If you’re looking for a more relaxing poolside experience, book a service at Mokara Spa. Spa guests get access to a private spa pool.
Day passes and cabana rentals are available, based on availability, for non-resort guests.
Ranch Houses
Experience a true home away from home at Omni PGA Frisco Resort in a one of the 10 ranch houses on property. Each ranch house has four bedrooms, an open floor plan with a sizeable living area, fireplace, chef’s kitchen, dining space, and outdoor private patio. From shopping to in-home chef experiences, the ranch house concierge team is also available to make your stay one of a kind. And, you’ll be able to cover the entire property with ease, as every ranch house comes with access to a golf cart.
