Not much beats the warm, cozy feeling the fall season brings. From pumpkin-flavored everything to football and fall fun around the city, there’s plenty to experience in Frisco.
Fall treats
Nothing screams fall like a cup of joe and a warm pastry on a crisp, autumn morning. Visit our coffee shop friends at Ascension Coffee for the fall coffee flight, the Aussie Grind for a pumpkin spice latte, and Mochas & Javas for the seasonal “Toddy Scone.”
Fall foliage
Fall time boasts some of the most colorfully breathtaking views of the parks and trails around Frisco, making it the perfect time to get outside and enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer. Whether you want to explore on foot or by bike, Frisco has more than 70+ miles of trails to enjoy and beautiful parks to visit.
Fall sports
With 12 Frisco high schools, it’s easy to make Friday Night Lights a part of your weekly weekend to-do. Support your local teams by watching a game at Toyota Stadium, Kuykendall Stadium, and Ford Center at The Star all season long. Tickets are under $10 and can be purchased online. You can view the district-wide schedule here. And, if college or pro sports are more your speed, grab your best buds and check out one of these local sports bars to catch a game.
Fall activities
The Frisco Fresh Market is a great place to get all the fall fixings and enjoy the outdoors! You can find everything from pumpkins, delicious baked goods, specialty foods, and fresh products from local farmers, artisans, crafters, and more. The fall hours are Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Don’t forget about the pumpkins! The nostalgic tradition of visiting a pumpkin patch is a fall must. Pumpkins on the Prairie (October 1-31) offers hay rides, games, and a wide selection of pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Oh, and don’t forget your annual fall photo op before you leave. PGA Frisco has about 20,000 pumpkins dotting the campus with several picture-worthy spots.
Frisco Oktoberfest is a fall staple around Frisco. The annual Frisco Oktoberfest festivities feature German food and drinks, plus competitions, including bier stein hoisting, brat eating, keg roll races, stein relay races, and a Dachshund Dash. No doubt about it, Oktoberfest will have you saying “Prost!” to a fun-filled fall day at The Star, Saturday, October 7 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. No ticket necessary.
Cozy up for a spooky movie at PGA Frisco or watch a Halloween favorite on the plaza at The Star. From adult spirits and kid-friendly activities at in the PGA District to trick or treating, music, games, and more at the Halloween Spooktacular at The Star, there's plenty of fall fun to be enjoyed for all.
Fall Fashion
Bring out the boots, scarves, and sweaters! It’s finally acceptable to start bundling up (ok, maybe not just yet, but it's best to be prepared)! We all know Frisco is no stranger to the shopping scene, so if you're needing to update that fall wardrobe, check out Frisco's shopping options from unique boutiques to the latest fashion finds at Stonebriar Centre, The Centre at Preston Ridge, Shops at Starwood, or The Rail District.
