The Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt features 1.2 miles of trails, wetlands and ponds, plus platforms for fishing and viewing wildlife. It won a Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) award in 2018 for the best park design in the state in its population category.

This ecosystem features off-channel ponds, Blackland Prairie, and wetlands and sits in a floodplain that includes a floodway. This park will preserved naturally, mowing about four to six feet on either side of the trail only to maintain the open meadows.

Hours: Open 30 minutes prior to sunrise, closes 30 minutes after sunset.
